We produce 15 healthy cooking oils & sprays, condiments, ancient grains and snacks, but our flagship products began with avocado oil. We are the largest supplier of avocado oil in the world utilizing a unique, gentle refinement process that preserves vitamin E and antioxidants while creating a mild flavor well suited for everyday cooking. About the Position:

The Retail Operations Manager position at Chosen Foods will be critical to the ongoing success of the fast and widespread retail and wholesale distribution that we have gained in the last 2 years. This person should be an experienced leader of retail sales and merchandising people within the consumer packaged goods industry. Also, have experience with third party merchandising companies and brokers and with use of retail data and analytics. They must be a team player, a resourceful problem solver, a velocity builder, willing to build relationships with grocery retail district managers, store managers and retail merchandisers at our key retail and wholesale customers to advance our mutual business priorities. The Retail Operations Manager must also possess excellent communication skills and be an effective collaborator with marketing, sales and customer service.

The person may not need to be in our HQ city of San Diego. A large "Airline Hub" City in the Northeastern or Midwestern USA will be considered. The position will be at least 50% travel.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

Excellent understanding of plan o grams and Shelf technology

Demonstrated track record of prioritizing retail priorities for direct or third party resources and driving improved retail presence for brands.

Demonstrated results and skills driving display and endcaps and shippers in grocery retail

Demonstrate creative problem solving and analytical skills

Manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet objectives in a timely manner.

Courage to speak frankly and passionately even in the face of adversity

Manage budgets

Use of retail operations tools and software to measure and report retail results is a plus.

proficiency with Microsoft office and Salesforce.com CRM and IRI retail data.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Minimum 7 years of experience in consumer packaged goods industry

Minimum 3 years in an official sales leadership position in CPG

Minimum 3 years in Grocery Retail Operations (experience with other Channels like drug and Mass Merchandisers are a plus)
