What are Chia Seeds
Chia Seeds (pronounced ch ee ah) are a nutrient dense superfood that is vegan, naturally gluten free, and high in fiber. When stored in an air-tight container, chia seeds have a shelf life up to 5 years.
Chia seeds pack in more omega-3 than salmon, and 3 times the fiber found in one slice of whole wheat bread. Chia is a complete source of vegan protein, featuring 2 grams per tablespoon. With 50% more antioxidants than a serving of blueberries, chia seeds may also help ward off inflammation. They are rich in calcium - 17% of recommended daily intake in 2 tablespoons. But not just that, chia also contains trace mineral boron, essential for optimal calcium absorption. How to Use Chia Seeds
