Mr. Hagen brings Chosen Foods the culmination of 40 years combined experience in business management and international marketing. As an entrepreneur, he has built multiple food companies and nutraceutical product lines with distribution throughout North America. Mr. Hagen believes strongly in the benefits of holistic medicine and healing through food, making it his personal mission to deliver the highest-quality, ancient, functional foods to the public.
George R. Todd, President
Mr. Todd leverages more than 20 years of experience building successful enterprises, specializing in strategic financial and business development. His passion for preventative medicine and natural health remedies manifests as he dreams up novel ways to use Chosen Foods products in the kitchen – the most famous: his Chia burgers.
Sioma Waisburd, Board Member
Mr. Waisburd is the founder of Amnistad LLC, an innovative functional foods company that utilizes the power of Chosen Foods ingredients. He is experienced in product development and marketing of consumer products, after more than 8 years in the personal-care products industry. He is passionate about health and well-being and strongly believes in the mission of Chosen Foods, currently serving on the Board of Directors and a significant Shareholder. Mr. Waisburd holds a BA in Philosophy and BBA in Business Administration from the University of San Diego and a MBA from Babson College.
Dr. Octavio Paredes López, PhD, DSc
Dr. Paredes Lopez is a Professor of Biotechnology at the Centre of Investigation and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV) in Guanajuato, Mexico.
With his expertise in biotechnology of food crops from Mesoamerica, Dr. Paredes Lopez is collaborating with Chosen Foods to conduct cutting-edge research on the molecular biotechnology of food crops with a nutraceutical interest.
Mr. Guillermo Waisburd, Advisory Board Member
Guillermo Waisburd is a successful entrepreneur with broad international business experience. He has participated for over 25 years in developing and creating new businesses via acquisitions, mergers and distribution alliances through aligning the resources and the organization to a successful strategy. Among these are vast arrays of pharmaceutical companies that have been formed, acquired or merged through the years. Some of these companies are located in Mexico, Canada, Denmark, Spain and Argentina.
Mr Waisburd founded Estilo y Vanidad (EVSA) in 2004 through which he negotiated and successfully acquired Pfizer’s Mexican personal care division including a state of the art facility (1,291,000 square feet of land and 270,000 square feet of construction) acting as its President and CEO. Mr. Waisburd holds an MBA from Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas (IPADE), México City, and a CPA from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Mr. Waisburd is a significant Shareholder in Chosen Foods.
