OUR ESG PROGRAM
At Chosen Foods, our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Program is unique to who we are and what we stand for. For this reason, we have named our ESG Program “GROVE”.
In the same way that a “Grove” is beneficial for healthy and more impactful trees, our ESG Program aims to benefit our employees, community, and environment.
How We Seek To Do This:
HOW WE SEEK TO GIVE
We seek to give back by supporting local non-profit organizations to help end hunger, serve the under-served and foster a culture of safety. Our support includes financial contributions, product donations and serving our community.
We partner with local non-profits that support initiatives close to our hearts. Volunteer events are scheduled throughout the year for employees to participate and make a meaningful impact together!
HOW WE SEEK TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
We believe in shared responsibility with our employees and partners to reduce our impact on the environment. We seek to partner with suppliers that meet high standards of environmental practices, we aim to improve the sustainability of our product packaging, and we offer reduce, reuse & recycle strategies.
HOW WE SEEK TO OPTIMIZE
We aim to optimize our resources. We currently have a donations agreement with Feeding San Diego and an internal composting program. We have also made energy efficient improvements at our headquarters and warehouse.
HOW WE SEEK TO VALUE PEOPLE
We value people by supporting good health and wellness initiatives by offering employee support programs and sponsoring steps towards a healthier lifestyle.
We care about our employees’ health and recognize that everyone is at a different stage of the “health” spectrum. Our goal is to help employees take one step further in their health journey by facilitating access to physical wellness and mental health.
HOW WE SEEK TO EDUCATE
We aim to educate the public around the awesomeness of avocado oil and our employees around sustainable practices. We honor the pureness of the almighty avocado and are passionate about sharing its impressive benefits with the rest of the world.
Chosen Foods’ environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) objectives are aspirational and not guarantees or promises that all goals will be met. The analysis involved in determining whether and how certain of Chosen Foods’ initiatives may contribute to their ESG objectives, including, without limitation, its alignment with certain ESG industry frameworks, is dependent on a number of factors.
