Ingredients For Ham and Cheese Sliders with Spicy Mayo Recipe
2 tbsp Chosen Foods 100% Pure Avocado Oil Squeeze
Chosen Foods 100% Pure Avocado Oil Spray
1lb sliced ham
12 count slider buns (cut in half horizontally)
8 oz cheddar cheese (freshly grated)
2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
Caramelized Onions
½ stick unsalted butter
4 large yellow onions (cut into thin strips)
Balsamic Vinegar (to taste)
1 tsp fine sea salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
Sriracha Mayo
½ cup Chosen Foods Classic Mayo made with 100% Pure Avocado Oil
2 tbsp sriracha (use more or less depending on your spice tolerance)

Preheat a large pan over medium to medium-low heat. Add the butter and Chosen Foods 100% Pure Avocado Oil. While that heats up, slice the onions into thin strips. Once the butter is melted, add the onions, salt, and pepper and mix until combined.

Cook the onions (stirring occasionally) until they develop some color (about 30 minutes) and then add a few splashes of balsamic vinegar. Stir to combine again and continue to cook the onions until they fully caramelize (another 20-30 minutes), stirring every 5 minutes or so to keep them from burning. Once they’re fully caramelized, season to taste with salt, pepper, and more balsamic vinegar if necessary.

While the onions cook, combine your Sriracha Mayo ingredients together in a jar or squeeze bottle and whisk until combined. Set in the fridge until you’re ready to use it.

While the onions cook, spray a separate pan with Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Spray and heat over medium-high. Once the pan is preheated, sear your slices of ham on both sides until crispy. Do this in batches if needed. Set aside until you’re ready to use them. Shred your cheddar cheese and set aside until you’re ready to use it. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

While that preheats, add the bottom half of your sliders to a parchment lined baking sheet. Add all of your seared ham in an even layer across the bottom half of the sliders, followed by all of the shredded cheddar cheese. Roast in the oven until the cheese is melted and beginning to turn golden brown. Pull them out of the oven to finish building.

Top the melted cheese with a layer of the caramelized onions followed by the top half of the slider buns. Brush the tops with melted butter and broil until the tops are golden brown. This happens fast so don’t let them burn!
