8 oz Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Shortening
2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
9 tbsp ice water
4 oz cream cheese
3 oz pepper jelly
Thyme sprigs
Directions For Pepper Jelly and Cream Cheese Tartlets Recipe
- For your pastry mix your dry ingredients and set to the side

Chop up your hardened Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Shortening into cubes and add into your dry ingredients
- Gently push down the shortening until it is flat and slowly add one tbsp of ice water at a time until you get a shaggy dough. 9-10 tbsp is roughly what you'll need
- Refrigerate for one hour before flouring your surface and adding your dough. Flour a rolling pin and begin to roll your dough out gently.
- Fold the dough over itself to create layers in your pastry. Once its rolled out use a pizza slicer to slice rectangle shapes for your tartlets
- Grease your muffin tins with the shortening before placing your pastry in each tim gently pressing down the center
- Add 1-2 tsp of cream cheese for each tartlet and top with 1 tsp of pepper jelly
- Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes or until golden and puffed
- Top with thyme and enjoy!
