Use about 1/4 cup of this Chia Seed Granola on top of high protein, organic, Greek style yogurt and you’ve got yourself a breakfast your kids will love, with a nutrition profile you can be proud to give them.
Ingredients
- 5 cups of Certified GF Oats
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup palm sugar
- 1/3 cup chia seeds
- 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 tbs cinnamon
- 1/2 tbs nutmeg
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 275 degrees and grease a cookie sheet or a jellyroll pan. Combine all the ingredients except the dried cranberries and mix until the oats, nuts and seeds are coated well with oil and syrup.
-
Spread the mixture out onto your cookie sheet and bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and mix up your granola. Put back in the oven until it starts to brown and reach your desired crispness (about 10 more minutes). Take out of the oven and let cool before serving.
Recipe Notes
Granola can be made in large batches and stored in mason jars or some other airtight container. Serve with your favorite nondairy milk, milk, or yogurt.
