Recipe Notes
Plain, basic roasted red peppers are easy to find jarred but you can also make your own homemade roasted red peppers.
Simply char the skin of 1 large fresh red pepper under the broiler of your oven, keeping an eye on it and flipping it every few minutes.
The pepper is ready when most sides are fairly black. Place the pepper in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let sit for 10 minutes.
Being careful of steam, pull the pepper out and peel as much of the charred skin off as possible.
Pat the pepper dry with a paper towel and add it into the recipe just as you would the jarred kind.
