Ingredients For Shredded Italian  Beef Sandwich Recipe

1 tbsp Chosen Foods 100% Pure Avocado Oil
3 lbs beef chuck roast
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 bell peppers (green or red), thinly sliced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced or whole
2 tbsp Italian seasoning, 1T paprika, 1T garlic powder, 1t ground sage, 1T onion powder, 
1 cup beef broth or until submerged 
1/2 cup pepperoncini peppers, sliced (optional) 
3-5 sandwich rolls
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions For Shredded Italian  Beef Sandwich Recipe

  1. Rub Chosen avocado oil all over the chuck roast. Season with salt, pepper and other seasonings on all sides.
  2. Heat the Chosen Food 100% Pure Avocado Oil over medium-high heat in a large pot or Dutch oven. Add the beef roast and sear on all sides until browned.
  3. In the same pot, add the sliced onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and garlic.
  4. Add the beef back to the pot with the vegetables. Pour in the beef broth and add the Italian seasoning. If you’re using pepperoncini peppers, add them now.
  5. Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 3-4 hours, or preheat the oven to 250F and cook in the oven for 3-4 hours, or the entire day. The longer, the better. 
  6. Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the pot and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the pot, mixing it with the vegetables and juices.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350F.
  8. Slice the sandwich rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. If desired, add a slice of provolone cheese to the bottom half of each roll.
  9. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are slightly crispy.
  10. Pile the shredded beef mixture onto the sandwich rolls. Spoon some of the juices from the pot over the top for extra flavor.
  11. Serve the sandwiches hot, with extra au jus on the side!
